FHS SCHOOL COUNCIL MINUTES
March 3, 2025
Attendance: Paula Carlson Cahill, Mike Feeney, Rebecca Gonzales, Alan Harris, Mananjo Jonahson
and Paula Smith
The meeting opened at 3:30 pm.
Today’s Agenda was reviewed and approved.
January 8, 2025 meeting Minutes were reviewed and approved.
NEASC update: Mike told us that he did an activity using “I AM A CLIPPER” with the over 100
student government students and they worked through the C, L, I, P letters and will finish the word in
their next meeting. They entered their experiences & what they’ve done pertaining to each letter in
Schoology so the information is archived. The staff will review / discuss the NEASC report at their next
meeting, and will process steps of how we can make it a more rich document with our student body.
HANDBOOK suggestions: Alexis provided electronically and in handout form pages 67-74 for our
review and suggestions and asked us to enter our ideas into the electronic document before April 28. A
discussion followed about the use of AI, academic dishonesty, and some items we’ve edited. Alexis and
Alan sincerely appreciate the Council’s feedback. It was mentioned that this format is so much more
readable than prior versions.
Alan and Alexis highlighted our fun, exciting No Guff/Kindness Week activities, Challenge Day, rally
and awards.
Graduation will be held on June 7th this year, we are planning for an outside ceremony, weather
permitting.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 pm.
